We nobody collect the eggs in the morning or soon after they are made. However, we were not home today and expect to have 4 eggs in our boxes when we get home.

How long will the eggs stay safe to eat in this heat?
I know that rock and sand can be cooling so I set up a sand box for my chickens. I used course sand on top of pavers. I used a long piece of cut wood to keep it all in.

Yes, I change the water every morning. The water is in the shade. Their entire coop and run are in the pretty much in full shade with some morning sun.
I will continue to put frozen ice or frozen water bottle in their fresh water.
