monitor more closely, have placed small bits of frozen coconut oil in her beak. She is completely lethargic now.

Our barnevelder is our first girl to go broody about 2-3 weeks ago. She’s around 18 months old and was growling and taking food from my hand up until a few days ago when I got too sick to climb into the coop for a few days to hand feed her.

Thank you for this information, the sepsis is definitely something I had not considered yet. I will check the Tractor Supply to see if there is any of the either antibiotics that were* mentioned.
All I have on hand right now is expired (in April) injectable tylosin (I’ve given before by mouth)

The wounds will be okay I think, but the possible swelling under her tail is what I can’t really tell about

Thank you for your reply. I was so hesitant to diagnose them with MG until the bubbles appeared, but then still hesitant to begin on antibiotics without a few more experienced opinions- because as you said, am newer to antibiotics as well and I don’t want to use them where they aren’t completely...
Update: Marmalade looks much worse this AM, and now there are bubbles 😞 Two girls are still completely asymptomatic and the other affected girl has no change in appearance since probably Friday.
Should I start them all on the Tylan 50 or is are there still any less disheartening possibilities...
It will be a third feeder, so I hope so! I’m adding the second water source today.
I just spent some more time watching them- Could they be poking themselves in the eye with hay from the ground and the newer nesting box? Can they get allergies?
I still didn’t observe any bullying behaviors-...
