I know what I’ll be doing next rainy day. Then I might try lime washing the walls as scrubbing doesn’t get it off…🙏🏻
Well, your coop looks lovely & clean. My hens manage to splat poop up walls & all over the roosts & everywhere else...I wish mine would just poop in a poop tray 🙄. Love your laying baskets 👏
When we first had a few hens they all had names. Now we have 35 & my memories sieve like…the Marans, are the Baguette sisters, Welsummers, the Kellogg sisters etc etc. Works for us
Thanks to you two for helping. Tomorrow our sweet hen, that lays the darkest brown egg is going to UC Davis to be euthanized & a necropsy performed. I’ll let you know the results…

On Saturday morning found a 3 year old hen on the ground under the roosts. Vaccinated for Mark’s as a chick (at least I paid for Mareks vax). Been hand feeding, cooked egg yolk with Vit.B & water with added Hen Boost. Still no improvement!

I’m so sorry, poor girl. That’s a large wound, I’ve had lots of luck with bactene (spell?) or any antiseptic spay with a contact pain killer in healing small puncture wounds.
