    Thank you, it is an old 1000 gallon water tank a neighbor was going to throw away as it had become brittle on the top half and had a few cracks in it, so I sawed off the top and have been using it as a brooder ever since. Will post more pics when i get a chance.

    Yes they were ordered as females, the lighter colored ducks are Buff ducks 3 male and 3 female. Started out as 4 males but one died soon after arrival. I will keep one male and the other 2 will go in the freezer/dinner. And no they have not molted yet. Also the G300's have already started quacking.

    They look female to me. I could be wrong though, I have 3 that are 5 weeks old in the pic below only difference I can see in mine and yours are that mine have dark brown feet.These came from Metzer.

    Here is my currently work in progress so to speak. Basically i have built kennel panels. Still need to do an apron and cover the bottom 18 inches with chicken wire and the top. The panels can be bolted or screwed together and moved easily.

    Duckling Thread!

    Just got these other day from Metzer. Started out with 10, one did not make it through the day the rest are doing fine. 3 Buff Drakes, 3 Buff females and 3 golden Layer Females. Will keep the best drake and the other 2 will go in the freezer after they grow a bit.

    New here. Just introducing myself. KY born and bred. I've raised livestock and poultry for most of my life (I'm a 60's model year )and found this site, been reading a little here and thought i would join. JDO
