Wonderful. That's a huge weight off me. I want to do this right, because after Chicken keeping since 2017, I've finally fallen for this breed! Full size hens are for me. Bantams were full but these girls are 😃
I'm considering getting 3 started pullets-6 weeks as sisters/"babies" for her to train. She was Orphaned over 3 months when one sister had a heart attack and the other had a triple yolk egg on her first lay and pulled the uterine "cap" attached to the egg.

My Chocolate Orpington is 30 weeks on Wednesday and still hasn't played an egg. Is this normal? When should I expect her to lay?
I'm using the look/see method for integration from a members post this morning. All 20 week pullets have gone by her coop to see and smell..

She has lots of space, but won't leave the upper deck of her coop with the ramp. I received a suggestion to turn that coop around so she can see the others. Loneliness may be exactly the problem. TY
There's nothing in her coop to play with. She won't even leave the upper deck area that's up high with a ramp. I've placed food in the far end of the coop to get her moving around but nothing. Great suggestion on leaves or grass clippings. I have perfect clean giant leaves from my neighbors'...
