It does seem yellowish.
I have not seen her scratch excessively.
She was always intense, but not aggressive towards family and her behavior did not really change.
Wife has enough honking with a single goose, but I will see what I can do 🤫
Maybe someone can help me out.
My goose is having weird texture rash / bold looking like patch on her neck.
At the start I thought it might be dirt or just molting.
It seems to be getting slightly bigger.
Thank you.
I will wait few months then. Intent of the clipping is to avoid her hurting herself, hence it would be pointless to take a risk and hurt her if it is still too early.
Really appreciate the advice.
Thank you for identifying!
It will be very cool if she is a girl.
Thank you for the tip with the wings.
I have clipped ducks before. I assume you just need to clip flight feathers or is there a different procedure for geese?
She is roughly 6months old, at what age would you consider her...
Thanks.
He/she is quiet all day.
Just honks with embedded oinks when it sees me and when I walk away.
I might actually record it and I will share it here.
Yes he has angel wing.
I have tried to correct it when he was younger but I think I was too late.
I kept his wings wrapped for two weeks with little or no progress.
To be honest it could be a week or two.
It is my first goose, hence I was not entirely sure.
Now that the feathers are longer it is more verbose and noticable.
Is 9 weeks too late for correction?
Thanks for guessing.
I have read that experience geese breeders could tell the gender of a Chinese gosling roughly at 6 weeks of age based on knob development and plumage.
I have tried to check the gender when it was roughly one week old but regrettably there was to much fluff...
Gosling hatched around 9pm.
I had a look at it now (10h in the incubator.)
It still have yolk sac attached, or what i think is a yolk sac, it is 1cm big and red.
Should I just leave it in the incubator till it dries out? It is the last bird in the incubator.
Thanks
I was also worried a out the position of the pip. Bottom instead of top of the egg.
I just saw the beak popping out so yeah i might have rung the alarm bell prematurely.
I think it Pipped roughly 8-10h ago.
It is making slow progress.
I probably got worried from googling stuff and from the bird being more vocal, not sure if it is struggling or is this normal?
