How often should we give this? I've seen once a day up to three times a day.
I'm pretty sure it is from a deficiency vs Mareks. Shes still eating and drinking and flapping her wings and standing, she does fall over some but I think it's just because of her neck and she has been curling her toes...
Hi my mom sent me this. She let her chickens out this morning and this one was holding her head tucked under her. Figure that this is wry neck? Anything other than vitamin E and scrambled eggs to help this? She is also separate from the rest.
My chicks are 3 weeks old is this a normal looking crop for them? I haven't noticed it like this before. This is also right before bed time, so they've been eating and drinking all day.
Yes they are definitely at 2 weeks. These do not look like my others that were all started the same day. My others a very full and have great veins and you can see movement. These I haven't seen and movement in.
Hi, first time incubating eggs. I have a dozen chicken eggs currently on day 6. This morning the humidity was good at 47%, sometime between then and when I got off work it had dropped to 23% for some reason. I added water and it went back up to 48% pretty quickly. I have no idea how long the...
So my broody hen is currently sitting on 6 eggs. What should I do with mom and babies once they hatch? My coop is a raised coop approx 3 feet off the ground with a long ramp up to the door. I don't want mom to take the chicks out and they fall from the ramp.
Not best picture, it's from my coop camera when I set it up before she was placed inside. It is inside the coop by their roosts. I'm unable to raise it up off the ground due to the roosts. She is on bare linelioum though, all bedding is out of the crate. She has been in there actually few days...
First flock, my hen has been broody for several days now. We have no rooster, so no fertilized eggs. We remove them as soon as we can and remove her from the coop as well, but she goes back in and spends all day on the nest. What can we do to break her broodiness?
My chicken was in the coop laying and noticed her stretching neck out and opening beak wide then she'll shake her head. I have a video but it won't let me post it. Is she just adjusting her crop? I've never seen my chickens do it before.
Yes it was suppose to be enclose my phone likes to change my words when I'm not paying attention🤦♀️
I didn't know if it should be to be more predator proof or if it mattered.
