    I never winterized this year, so I get to shovel in the run for awhile until I get my tarps up 🤷🏼‍♀️ so much heavy, wet snow. It let up for awhile, but now it's back at it again. The big storm has passed, now it's just Lake Effect.

    I'm not sure what it is like in Grand Rapids, but here in the SW corner, we are buckling up. It's supposed to snow until 7 pm tomorrow and 8-14 inches. Looking at the extended forecast, the only day it doesn't snow is Tuesday 🫠

    We usually see concerts there, but we missed it this year and I was so bummed when I saw CAKE was playing 😔 We saw Jason Mraz last year. It's such a beautiful place for all it offers.

    I can't break rules for the customer in my job, but I know what you mean. Those customers you give a little extra to. Spend a little more time on. Those are the ones who we know appreciated our efforts. All the rest, it certainly doesn't sound like people have changed much.

    The northern lights were out here on Thursday night, but work has been extra-busy (this time would be like an accountant's tax season for my work). I have been going to bed around 10 and that's really early for me! I did walk out to the field to get a couple pictures.

    They're seeing them all the way down to Florida! Unfortunately, I've got too many clouds here to see them. They were sighted in my area around 7:30 when the clouds broke up a bit. It finally stopped snowing this morning. I measured and we had 10". Now it'll all melt over the next couple of days...

    We ended up with about 12" of snow and it got down to 20° last night. Power was out from 10 pm to 10:30 am this morning. Everyone is good and the chooks are fine (but stayed in the coop today and I don't blame them).

    Yes, I'm in that 6-12" band... Can't wait for my commute tomorrow! Some will hit tonight, more will hit between noon and 5 pm tomorrow.
