I had a Black Australorp named Raven...she was very broody and loved raising chicks! I loved her so much I also named one of my characters in my graphic novels called Mabel's World, Raven. (You can see all the chicken cartoons on a thread called Mabel's World in the hobbies forum or from my page.)

BTW, I love my Instant Pot...have used it for years for oatmeal daily as well as cooking meals when I am teaching piano. I can take meat that is frozen solid, cook it in my Instant Pot and in 50 minutes to an hour it is done and very tender.
Wow! Great work! I do some canning, but also a lot of freezing. We have peaches, which I freeze...and I grow and freeze pea pods, green beans, kale, bok choy, Swiss chard and carrots.
That is wonderful! Maine is having a drought as well. I have never seen it so "crispy" here. Our grass is virtually down to dust and dirt in many places.
I love skipping...I don't hardly do it...but do walk a lot with my corgi...often 2 to 3 times a day, a mile each time. Hmmm....

I can't believe it, but I only have 2 cartoons left to share from my two books! I will miss sharing them. I started last November sharing 2 per week. It has been fun!
