    Gender guessing for cross breeds!

Awesome thank you! That’s two guesses that contradict my guess for A and B, which is helping me keep an open mind about them. We have thankfully found a home already for whichever of them turns out to be a Roo, but I don’t think I’ll be able to part with either of the silkie crosses. I guess...

    Convince me i need silkies

I realize this is an oldish thread but just want to emphasize this point! you have to dry wet silkies in the colder months if they get wet! Otherwise they can absolutely die. But I’ll add that my two silkies are some of the best foragers in my flock.

    Gender guessing for cross breeds!

I’ve learned so much about sexing on this forum and am wondering if anyone would be willing to weigh in with their gender guesses! We have since let the silkies sit together on...

    Silkie Cross Breeds

Looks like a lil Roo to me, seems to be growing some wattles under the corners of the mouth and also appears to have hackle feathers. He’s gorgeous! Hope you can keep him. If not I suspect you could find him a home pretty easily!

Hi! New member from Western MA. I’ve been a long time “lurker” benefiting from all the incredible knowledge in this community. This is always my first stop when I have a chicken question. I have 6 years experience working with chickens in a small farm setting and about 4 years with a backyard...
