Just wanted to give an update for anyone else that comes across this post needing help. Within one or two treatments of adding the Silvex gel into the mix, I could see quite a difference. It was actually stopping the infection from regrowing after I removed everything I could, and it was the...
Well, she seemed to be getting better over the last week, but I think she took a step back Friday because it was a tiny bit more swollen and pink then it had been Wednesday. I picked up some Silvex to use instead of Neosporin and I'm hoping it will help more.

I wish it wasn't so hard to take care of chickens with no vet around that will see them. I'm dealing with bumblefoot too and asked Performance Vet Supply if they would ship the SSD cream to Texas and this was the reply :(
I started her on Tylan 50 Friday. I think she's looking a bit better today. The area isn't as quite as pink or swollen as it was last time I worked on her. A small scab reappeared and came right off after soaking her. I cleaned the spot up till there was just normal looking tissue and...
I need advice on my chicken with an infection in the webbing of her foot. She was successfully treated for bumblefoot a couple months ago and I noticed the webbing between the toes on that same foot was swelling up and had developed an outer scab almost a month ago. I started the bumblefoot...
Thanks for your reply! I finally just found someone to take in the rooster yesterday. I'd been trying to rehome him since March. My dad's coworker is figuring out if she wants a couple hens or not. I'll be sure to let you know if I need to rehome more.
Hi everyone! I need find a new home for my 1-year-old Black Australorp rooster. He's very good at taking care of his hens. He is great at finding them food and protecting them. The only reason I have to rehome him is I need to downsize my flock due to chronic shoulder/feet problems making it...

Hi everyone!
I need find a new home for my 1-year-old Black Australorp rooster. He's hand raised and good at taking care of his girls. I won't have enough space or hens for him to keep him happy as I need to downsize my flock due to chronic shoulder/feet problems making it impossible to care...

I learned very fast around here that the fight to keep them cool is never ending this time of year and it can be more challenging when they have to stay inside a run. I’ve spent hours learning tips from others on how to help them manage the heat without being able to move around totally free and...
Oh no, I'm so sorry you had to deal with that. A neighbor just up the road from me lost 2 roosters about a week ago to a huge racoon. They are one of my biggest worries for my chickens where I live so had to make the decision to keep them in their run too.

Hi everyone!
Due to a chronic shoulder problem I'm having to downsize my flock and find a new home for my 10-month-old Black Australorp rooster. I wish I could keep him but I'm not going to have enough space or hens for him anymore. Please let me know if you'd be interested in taking him!
