    Kiddo is battling the flu going around, we're on day 4 now :( To cheer her up... 6 zombies, 3 olive egger under fibro, 2 olive egger under marans, 1 legbar under fibro. So 10 Riddick babies and 2 CowSpots babies.

    Yes she lived her just under a year. Her owner wasn't sure if she was 6 or 7 when she dropped her off. She was wonderful. Yes! They all learned great manners from her!

    Thanks for the support on our loss, everyone. Her kids all got to say goodbye, even Riddick went into the nestboxes to spend a few minutes with her. Hubby suggested we get a few buff orpingtons this spring, two or three. So her golden legacy can live on.

    I can't incubate eggs until I have a broody to slip the babies under. I shouldn't be encouraging anyone to go broody buuut....babies!!! Of the 18 eggs I gave away last week, he has 15 developing smoothly and one that might have a blood ring. So exciting!

    Not the happiest with the perspective on this one, he's kind of twisted. Kiddo is doing well for her second day of preschool. She was having a harder time sitting and cooperating but nothing too major.

    Kiddo started school today. Also Buffy is sleeping in the nestbox. I wonder if she's thinking of going broody? She'd be a wonderful mother...being the flock matriarch and all.
