That is hard. Our grandson is verbal, loves to have fun and is just wonderful in so many ways! Just gets over stimulated and has breakdowns so easily like a toddler would. Has compulsory actions and doesn't get what so ever expected behaviors. Its just tough to see him struggle. My husband and I...

Thank you! It's a tough road for him. He doesn't understand it. As he gets older it gets tougher.

    Hen emergency

I was told by one of the experts in here not to put a chicken on her back. It can suffocate them. Just FYI!

Pecking gone to cannibalism. How to I figure this one out?

You can purchase pretty inexpensive wire, bottomless kennels online. I have one 3'x6' and use it when boredom from deep snow confinement kicks in. I put a clear, cheap plastic shower curtain over it to help give them a wind break. Put it where you want to eventually expand. Put the butt...

    Your 2026 Garden

I was always told pepper plants like to hold hands. I plant mine pretty close. For poppers, try a big jalapeño, like Mammoth.

    Crop issues

Have you tried scrambled eggs? That is always a hit with my hens. I torpedo fed one of my hens who didn't want to eat and that worked well.. Just shape moist food into a small torpedo shape, pull down on her wattles and put in he mouth holding beak closed.

    Your 2026 Garden

That was my experience also, so I only plant corn by itself. My long Island cheese pumpkin vines are aggressive and the leaves huge.

    Your 2026 Garden

I plant two crops of it each year now. Even though I live in the Midwest, it is all field corn, not sweet corn. I amend the soil with chicken poop in the fall. You could just put composted chicken poop this spring in the rows. Once it gets a foot tall or so, I hoe up the soil up around the base...

    Feral cats

I take care of a feral colony along with a couple of friends and have for years. They are all fixed. If a new kitty shows up, a trap gets set up. Sometimes, people don't have the resources or knowledge of how TNR works. If there is a no-kill shelter in your area, they will usually have a TNR...
