    Are Speckled Sussexes slow growers?

    I have 2 Barred Rock and 2 Speckled Sussex chicks. Same age and , but the BR are getting bigger yet feathering out slower, the SS are smaller yet feathering out way faster. I'm guessing the BR are just a bigger chicken and that's where the nourishment is focused.
