Posting pictures of 2 silkie eggs. Day 9 under a broody.
One of the eggs has a terrible shell and has micro cracks through it.
The other last 2 pictures i suspect there is a death ring.
Let me know your thoughts.

Update- we found a great home for him where he will have a backyard to forage and have a few girls!
Even though he had known us since he was a day old, he was the most skittish and goofiest chicken we had ever had. He would overreact over everything and run on the spot. He was showing zero...
The splash was not a splash in the end. We got her from a reputable breeder however we believe that it was a genetic throwback and she is actually a light Sussex with some barring that has come through. It’s been a big mystery but the breeder assures me that there was no crossbreeding because of...
Hi all,
This is a 5 week old Australian Araucana (Our breeding standards are different).
I know it’s early- but what do you think? Boy is my guess because its comb looks pink & has 3 rows of peas already. It’s also quite pink under the chin.
I’m new with this breed so I welcome your expertise
Here she is at 24 weeks! She’s a very BIG girl.. & towers over the Plymouth, barnie & Ancona. Check out her feet 👀 should hopefully start laying soon 🥚
Cute birds! We rescued a chick & were given no information on her.. I suspected there might have been aracauna because of pea comb & slate legs.. she’s just started laying the most beautiful green eggs! She looks very different to your birds. They all come in different shapes & sizes.
Hi all,
My chickens comb looks really dry. It’s been like this for months. The whole flock has recently been treated for mites, lice & worms & it hasn’t changed.
Also- what sort of comb is it?
How are your babies going? I’ll attach a pic of my 18 week old pullet. I would love to see how yours have developed & who turned out to be pullets/cockerels
