I agree with Bielfelders not being a good choice for eggs to feed ratio, and taking too long to start laying, I am also getting rid of mine as well. I currently have, Bielfelders, Buff, blue Australorp, Barred Rock, leghorns and Delaware. Where Delware is my number one choice for meat and eggs...
My Bielefelders are 8 months old and have not laid yet. whereas Delawares and barred rocks started at less than 6 months old. The Buff Orpington is the same age as Delaware has not started either. Delaware is the best choice. I would not get any more Bielefelders anymore.
