    I have raised chickens the vast majority of my life. I can tell you this is normal & unfortunately roosters like this go in the pot. I only keep roosters that behave themselves. Easy for me, hens & visitors, kids, dogs & grand babies.

    Quick update.. the other egg didn't hatch, so i chucked that egg. We had some pretty cold weather in SE Texas, but looks like momma & poppa are taking care of the baby just fine. :) Pin feathers coming in now :)
