Thank you so much, I truly appreciate your help. Great to have such a resource available in these frightening moments!
So my Duck, Smore, is resting quietly in the dark, safe in a tote (towel clipped to the top) with her electrolyte water, some straw then towels curved around her so she can...
Thank you so much for your wisdom and help! I have exactly one of the Electrolyte packages left for poultry - that will be good right? Just hope she will drink it so far she’s shown no interest at all.
The gash on the left is fairly deep it seems, and surely a puncture wound. She is not interested in drinking and seems as though she is in shock. But breathing and resting now.
Hello everyone,
One of my ducks, a Saxony, suffered some kind of injury, presumably from a predator, while roaming this afternoon/evening. I didn’t see it happen, but I have photos of the injuries I will share.
The nearest vet hospital that takes ducks is almost an hour away, and I’m not sure...
Thanks Moonshiner. I was guessing girls but knew that you all know way more than I do - just finishing up my first year with ducks. And, most likely wishful thinking. I so need girls, and now likely more boys. May have to contemplate an all make flock!

Somehow the photos of eggs were jumbled, I’m going to put them in order and post here again. There are five eggs, two photos of each one.
Egg 1 - Oldest Egg of the bunch
Egg 2 is marked with a date of 11/27 and 4 is marked 12/7, easily the newest egg in there, having been the last leg laid before the girls stopped laying eggs for Winter. Thanks for your help!
The last egg looks a greal deal like the first duckling, “Persephone Dubois” did. The new duckling’s egg looked much like it too, but I could see motion, tring to internally pip.
