Looking at dates it’s probably five weeks, but I assume that wouldn’t make too much of a difference… It’s been very sweet to us, but has just started to bully the other girls.
Hi. We just received new chicks from Meyers on Tuesday and we were cleaning the vent of our exchequer and noticed this irritated lump. Has anyone ever seen this before? Any thoughts on what to do would be greatly appreciated. We really do not want to lose this chick.
We can’t keep a rooster in our town. So I am looking for a home to keep him, not harm him. He is pretty docile. Located northern suburbs of Chicago, could deliver within a reasonable distance.
Thanks!
I have a feeling chick 2 is a cockerel. He/she is more scraggly and bigger than chick 1… I also read that if the comb starts at the nostrils it’s a roo. Does anyone know if that’s accurate?
Hi all,
We ordered from ideal poultry - Easter egger, blue copper Maran, welbar, and Mille fluers.
Before it feathered out we thought this was the maran (had the right blue/black coloration), but it clearly is not. Could this be an Easter egger? To complicate things one of the chicks didn’t...
Hi all,
We have 3 four week old Mille fluers and I was wondering their sex. One has a significantly larger comb, which definitely seems like a roo. Not sure on the other two. Thanks for any help you can offer!
