Yes, she laid both. Only 2 of my newest are laying, and Frodo had already laid that morning. Then Sam went in and had those 2 under her. She had to have laid them at the same time too, not hours apart. It doesn't make sense to me either but I was out there.
My Sapphire Olive Eggers just started laying. Samwise just did this 😳. I thought it was just the super tiny one at first, but I nudged her over a little farther and found the slightly bigger one with it. I didn't think this was possible. I know that the first little while of laying, you can get...
I need an updated opinion on Gandalf. Now 10-11 weeks EE. Supposed to be a pullet, last vote was pullet, hoping still for pullet. It will break my heart if she starts crowing and I have to rehome her.
These are my 2 smallest babies. I got them from an olive egger pullet bin. I cant find any pics of an olive egger that looks like my black chick who almost looks like a BCM? Feather feet and all. I know it's probably too early to confirm gender, but if you see anything indicating either way...
That's the same one. I think the red lamp is reflecting in this picture. But I'm low key suspicious of them all at this point, so I'm not ruling anyone out
That is the red light from the heat lamp I think. Neither of the wyandottes have much actual red on their combs yet. I'll keep my eyes peeled though. Unless you use a flash or they're under the lamp, their combs are mostly dark brown with barely a twinge of light pink at the top
Hey guys, I need help. I'm starting to get discouraged. I have 7 babies I was sold as pullets. I know it's not a 100%, but now that they're 6+ weeks I'm at a loss. I have 2 EE, 2 Wyandottes, 2 Sapphire olive Eggers, and 1 maran. I'm pretty sure my sweet maran is a "he" at this point. I had...
I wouldn't mind if the breed was wrong at this point because i love her already, but her feet are pretty pale. I'm not sure the pictures show them properly. Either way, thank you!
This is my 6 week old maran that I bought as a pullet. She's throwing me for a loop. The comb is straight, not arched, and hardly any pink. I cant find definitive answers looking online and on here even because they all develop so different. I guess I'm worried because I can't have a roo and she...
