Ok! Well thanks for the help! Also...some of our barred rock pullets were extremely aggressive and we thought they were roos. But they ended up being hens...I guess in the long run you just can't always tell
Also about the hens that crow...sometimes, the hens (especially as they get older) can start to crow. I have a friend who's hen crows but they layed eggs. So as your hen gets older, it's quite possible it could start to crow...we also have a hen who mounts the other hens as a rooster would do...
Also I will say that sometimes you can also tell by looking at the legs...one of them will tend to have darker legs, while the other will have lighter...also I have also read that pullets tend to feather faster. I actually have 3 golden laced Wyandotte "pullets" but only one is really getting...
