Thank you for your reply. This makes a lot of sense. So, he is not lethargic. They free range a good portion of the day and we keep food/water inside the coop which is where these two hang out if the other gals are in the run, BUT he hides inside nesting boxes and underneath roost ramps a lot...
I didn’t just get them. I’ve had them since they were chicks. They spent a little over two weeks inside of a brooder, inside of the coop acclimating them to the flock.
These two are the most recent additions to our flock. They are 11 weeks old. The rest of my flock is just over a year old. We had two others of the same age, but they were roosters and had to find them new homes. I’m thinking the one in front is also a rooster, but if so it’s not crowing yet, so...
Ok…tried to get better pictures. I’m almost 100% certain that the two black ones are cockerels. The thick legs, red combs/wattles…and someone out there is crowing and I think it’s the black/white one.
Side by side the darker of the two brown ones, who are more than likely the same mixed breed...
These four EE are such skittish, psychopaths. Absolutely crazy compared to our OG flock that is now just over a year old, but also purchased from a local farm rather than a big box farm store. Does that make a difference?
This weekend we heard one of them crowing, but I’m not sure which one it...
Also….we noticed she was gone when the rest of the flock was really loud and agitated…we quickly noticed they were bullying her as she ran into the nesting boxes.
UPDATE: she is very alert. Eating and drinking water supplemented with vitamins when spoon fed. She is finally pooping again….BUT because she is wobbly it’s just smeared all over her bum. Dark blackish/green, running, extremely smelly. 🤮 she broke out of seclusion this morning and somehow...
I have no clue what is wrong. No sign of physical injury, eating out of my hand just fine, laid an egg this morning, and the rest of the flock is completely normal.
This gal though…it’s like she’s drunk or something. When she tries to stand she falls forward.
I gave her an Epsom salt soak...
No mold that I’m aware of and the rest of the flock is perfectly fine and has the same access she has. I’ve tried a dropper and holding a small bowl of water to her beak and she is not interested at all, but I’ll keep trying. I’ll try to get her to eat the Tums and hope for the best.
She is just over a year old. Her crop is full, but she hasn’t pooped since we found her like this a few hours ago. I can’t get her to drink anything, but she’s eating well.

I have three Amberlinks approx 17-18 weeks old. They should be starting to lay soon, but so far nothing. It has been a very hot summer for us and we are doing all we can to help our flock stay cool. Fan w/ mister, almost fully shaded coop/run, ice cubes in a water bowl in addition to their...
