    Might be a chicken snake or a water snake. The head is not triangular or have pits so it's probably not poisonous.

    I relocated the snake twice. Then took it 3 miles away. So far so good. It was eating my eggs and young chicks as well as the blue birds. It's a Chicken Snake. Not poisons. But will bite and constrict. Can climb trees. We have a love hate relationship.

    Electric fence around the bottom works wonders. I have one 1/2 way up too ! Strings on top are twine from hay bales.. All the critters around here think my chickens carry Tazzers. Even when they free range. Visiting dogs usually head right for the coop. ZAP ! They don't do that again.
