Hi!
Do you supplement Niacin to your goslings?
I'm new to geese and the breeder told me they didn't give it to their goslings, but I'm not too sure if I should give them supplements or not given I always gave Nutritional Yeast to my ducklings up until at least 8 week old.
Thanks :)
Please, please, tell me I have 2 females Welsummer 🤞🤞🤞🤞
There is 2 Legbar (A pullet and a coquerel) and 3 Welsummer (I think/hope 1 coquerel and 2 pullets)

Okay, so I'll get my duck eggs this week, and I have the Chickcozy incubator (which I really, really love, but it incubates the eggs vertically intrays).
I read that incubating duck eggs vertically was not the best and some had pretty bad hatch rate in comparison to hatching on their side...
I don't hate the idea of concrete as foundation, and I also have a ditch that we will dump in. And yes, we are on a well! We were hoping not to have to empty and refill the pond though, and have a good filtration system to be able to only backwash the bog filter...
So.....
We are planning to dig/build a pond for our ducks (we have between 12 and 20 ducks)...
I know for most of people, it's trial anr error, pump is not strong enough, filter jams because of too much waste, etc. etc. etc.
I would be really interested to hear from those ones who have a pond...
So, I put them back on their sides? I mean removing them from the carton? I thought they were ok pointing end facing down.
Sorry I'm French Canadian, I might just not understand well.
Hi!
So I'm on day 6 of incubation with my 4 shipped ameraucana eggs.... I noticed they were funny looking at first but since I'm a rookie, I didn't do the maths.
So the situation is that I'm on day 6 and I've been rotated them with automatic egg turner every 6hours since day one.
They SEEM to...
Thanks for your reply, I candle in my bathroom, and it's pitch dark as I don't have windows... I didn't use two lights, but I tried using different lights. This is strange for me because some of my duck eggs were blue as well, but it was SO clear in it, I could see the tiny black dot and the...
Hi!
So, I'm incubating 4 eggs, and it's my first time incubating chicken eggs, I incubated duck eggs before.
I find really odd that when I'm candling my eggs, I don't see much... A little bit of veins, but really, it's not clear like my previous experiences. It's like the light is not...
Thanks for your reply, I didn't really pay attention to the size of the air sac in my previous hatches, but I'll definitely pay attention this time. If it weren't the right size, would that mean I might need to help?
Hi chicken folks,
I am in my first incubation for chickens, I incubated 2 batch of ducklings last spring and it went well. 7/9 for the first hatch, and 5/5 the second one. But my incubator is not good, it is good for temperature, but humidity level is not accurate and it fluctuates a lot. I...
That makes sense, and yes, I definitely noticed that! It would be hard for me to wet their food as I have a big trash can converted into a self-distributor and wet food during winter would freeze, I think.
