Is this coccidiosis or something else?

Me too. I haven't seen another poop like that one all day so I'm hoping it's the darn cherries.

Is this coccidiosis or something else?

They have recently eaten tomatoes, watermelon and today I caught them picking low hanging cherries from my tree. I trimmed the lower branches back and I also checked the vents of all my chickens except one (she is too fast for me to catch) Everything looked normal with no sign of injury. I'll...

Is this coccidiosis or something else?

Well, they free range most of the day so they pick at plants/bushes etc. None of them appear lethargic and they're all eating and drinking just fine. The six pullets all ate medicated feed up until they started laying as well, but I didn't see which one pooped. It could've been one of my older...

Is this coccidiosis or something else?

Yes. I keep a bottle in my chicken first aid kit. I wasn't sure if it was something they ate as all of my other girls' poop looks normal.

Is this coccidiosis or something else?

Hi everyone. I have 10 chickens, 4 EE that are 2 years old and 6 young pullets ranging from 5-7 months old and all but two of them are laying now. This morning I let my girls out so they can free range in the yard and one of them pooped out what looks like a bloody, watery mess. Could this be...

    Umm is this normal?

I agree, it's most likely a combination of different stresses. I will be keeping a close eye on her and upping her calcium even though my girls all have access to it. Thanks!

    Umm is this normal?

Thanks! This was her very first egg, so I am hoping things will settle down going forward. I'll be keeping an eye on her that's for sure. She has already been in a quiet place as she suffered a sprain a couple of weeks ago and I have been giving her some R&R. The last few days I've been...

    Umm is this normal?

Thanks! I knew she was special lol. When I bought her she was supposed to be an Ancona not a Lakenvelder. Fingers crossed it all sorts itself out. 🤞

    Umm is this normal?

I cut into it, and omg yolk comes out of each side. It's covered by an extremely thin eggshell as well. It really does look like two separate eggs.

    Umm is this normal?

Thanks! Yeah that's kind of what I'm thinking seeing as it's her first egg. What concerns me is that she's such a tiny little thing compared to my other girls who have also just started laying. Hopefully, it will sort itself out.

    Umm is this normal?

I have a young Lakenvelder pullet who is about 20-24 weeks old and who I currently have isolated from the flock due to a sprained leg. Anyway, this morning I wake up to find she'd laid this weird egg. I can't figure out if it's one egg or two and is this normal? Today she is acting agitated...

    Anyone know her breed?

Thank you so much. After looking at the pics, I think you're right. Her name is LaRue. I also picked up a Lakenvelder that was listed as an Ancona at Murdochs as well lol.

    Anyone know her breed?

I'm trying to learn this app on my phone. Sorry for the weird post. Here is a better picture of the egg.

    Anyone know her breed?

Thanks for the reply. My first thought was a splash of some kind as well. I got her from the "assorted layers" bin at Murdochs because I loved her coloring, so it's possible she's a mixed breed. The blue chicken next to her is a Sapphire Gem. As you can see she has beautiful pale blue earlobes...

She just laid a small white egg and is about 20 weeks old. Thanks!
