    Oh good to know! Did your runner ducks start laying around 4 months? I was not expecting to find any so soon! That makes sense—my chickens laid small eggs at first too. I’ve heard of softshells with chickens but not ducks, I’ll have to keep that in mind! Thanks for all your input!

    Oh ok! Well I’ll be curious to see what other kinds of eggs I find in the next couple of months. I found an article saying runner ducks can start laying around 4 months so that would also make sense. thanks for the input!

    Which duck breed is laying these eggs?

    Hi everyone! Does anyone have any idea which duck breed might have laid these two little eggs? I have magpies, a runner, and a mallard. All of which hatched on 5/29 so they’re only 15 weeks. I’m thinking mallard just based on the size.
