Any ideas how to treat a large swollen tumor on pullets face?

I have not witnessed her sneezing or coughing or any fluids of any kind. I’ve only just been watching this thing grow bigger and bigger over the last two weeks. She is acting normal otherwise.

Any ideas how to treat a large swollen tumor on pullets face?

I am looking for any advice or ideas on what this might be and how I can help treat this young hen. This approximately 5 month old pullet has developed a large, hard to the touch tumor looking thing on its face. It has increased in size considerably over the last few weeks. I have not tried to...

Need foolproof tips on how to use permethrin powder, Please!

Thank you! I successfully dusted four birds tonight (out of 13). I have checked several birds in my flock and I definitely see large lice and smaller bugs as well. I’m not sure if the smaller insects are mites or smaller lice. I’ll do some research about that. This is during the day also. I see...

Mite/lice ridden hen- sick and suffering- what to do?

That’s what I was thinking until I saw the mites. I was going to cull her so she’s not suffering, but came here for advice first.

Mite/lice ridden hen- sick and suffering- what to do?

She has yellow poop crusted on her bum feathers. I haven’t seen any weird poops around the coop or pen area.

Mite/lice ridden hen- sick and suffering- what to do?

Yes she was wobbly and limping with no obvious injuries, now she can’t stand. Her head is rocking back and forth. She was in the corner of the coop with her head in the corner looking like she gave up on life.

Yes. After close inspection today I see LOTs of mites on the little lady. I haven’t checked the other birds but plan to tonight.

Mite/lice ridden hen- sick and suffering- what to do?

I recently adopted a mixed age flock after years of having no chickens. Some of the hens are much older and I accepted the position of letting these hens live out their lives with us… I also purchased some pullets to add to the flock, so there are young healthy birds and old, sort of sickly...
