Hi,
Has this egg begun internal pipping?
The pics are taken at a different angles and distances.
Also, there are only 3 pics.
The other 3, I just copied and drew a line on where the 'crack' was.
So then, you guys could easily compare the actual picture with the copied version of that picture...
It is so far Day 25 and still no movement or anything.
I am now playing some music and have been talking to them to see if it stimulates their brains or something and encourages them to hatch out.
Will this work?
No harm in trying right?
There is this fizzy stuff coming out of a hole in the egg.
The hole is in the blunt end of the egg where the air sac.
Quite recently, I did the float test so I don't know if that had anything to do with it.
Only a little bit of this 'fizzy stuff' has come out of the hole and I only mean a little...
So what really is a Pasty butt on a baby chicken and what causes pasty butts?
Please also post some images or videos of 'Pasty Butts'.
Thanks In Advance!
When you say that you can hear internal pipping, can you hear it about 1 meter away from the hen sitting on the eggs or when you put it up to your ear?
I am on Day 23 and still cannot hear anything so I need some advise.
Thanks In advance!
Still no movement or peeping or chirping, etc.
What is the maximum amount of time/days to let the egg still be in the incubator before deciding to throw it out?
People have said to wait for the Day 26 mark.
Question is, should I?
Thanks for all your replies.
OK.
Thanks for replying.
Um, I do not have kids.
And also, I am already in lockdown. It's Day 21.
Yea, right now, you can smack me really hard if you want to.
OK, so I was testing to see if my eggs were still viable and alive by putting them in water and seeing if they moved...and they did?
But someone said that eggs were porous, so did I just kill my chicks??????
Would the heat lamp be able to evaporate the water out of the shell...
I sure hope that they hatch for you and am not sure if light shining through eggs is going to harm them or not but it hasn't so far harmed any of my eggs.
I usually shine a bright light to candle them.
Thanks for the replies.
Yes, I have shone a bright light and I see no movement.
As of half and hour ago, it is now Day 22.
What should I do?
Anyone have anymore theories like the one pgpoultry had on how to test the egg to see if it is still alive?
Nope, i am getting worried.
And I also feel bad now because I opened the incubator and tried to candle my eggs.
And when I did, I did actually see a huge dark spot with a little black dot in the egg.
And also, almost the shape of wings.
I feel really bad right now and please people don't rub...
