I'm pretty positive on the darker one being a roo I was in denial for a bit because I liked his colouring lol but the lighter one I'm very on the fence with lol
I have a couple 11/12 week old olive/Easter eggers that I am believe are rooster but would love a second opinion before I go giving them away free. So what do you think rooster or hen for these guys?
So I have a 11 week old olive/Easter egger that I hatched and for the life of me I can't decide if it's a rooster or hen. The comb makes me say rooster because no one else I kept from that hatch has that red of a comb but the tail feathers and other feathers make me think hen? Thoughts?
I have it to about 65 humidity, they don't seem to be shrink wrapping in the eggs so I'm not sure if humidity could be the problem or not. Okay I always read 24-48 hours so I get nervous on the second day leaving them in there I'll try keeping it closed longer. I don't have another thermometer...
Hello everyone,
So I have done quite a few hatches now and I feel like everytime I do a hatch I get at least one or two eggs that progress all the way to the hatch stage but then don't pip or anything so I open the egg and I find a fully formed chick (not moving and clearly dead). Now I have a...
Yah I'm a little unsure I haven't really seen chicks before as a gold laced but the person's saying they are gold laced just don't want to spend the money if they aren't
I am just curious if this looks like a hold laced Wyandotte chicks. Looking to purchase some and these ones are said to be about two weeks. Thoughts?
Thanks!
Looking for standard gold laced Wyandottes that are either in Southern Ontario or can be shipped to Southern Ontario having a hard time finding some! Anyone have any recommendations on hatcheries or breeders!?
Hi there this may be random but did you figure out how to change the settings for the automatic egg turner? I love this machine just having troubles figuring out how to set up the automatic turner!
Thanks!
They were about 3 months when I got them from a local breeder. They had next to no tail feathers in so I couldn't tell based off that and just noticed after I saw one attempting to mount my hen that their feathers looked very rooish. I contacted the breeder and they ignored me.
Okay so I was sold these two Brahma "pullets" but when I got them they had no tail feathers. Well I just started paying attention recently and noticed they look like roos. These are also the first Brahma chickens I have owned so I'm on the fence. Anyways I'm rehoming them if they are roos but...
I have a 7-8 week old that I'm on the fence about. The feathers seem about the same as my other ones this age but the comb is a lot more red than the others. It's a BYM I believe it was sex link and RIR that I was told the possibility was. What does everyone think? I'm leaning towards roo but...
