What do you guys do for you ducks when it’s negative degree outside for this tundra we call home?!? We live in Ohio and have 8 ducks. This morning it was -11 degrees and I refused to let the ducks out until later in the day. I refreshed their bedding last night and I give them warm water and a...
That greenhouse that been through hell and back, a couple of tornados, winter storms, wind storms and still standing. I was going to reenforce the outside for predators. I’m going to put it in my garden area until spring.. apparently the chickens have committed murder.
We keep our ducks in their own area, they have a coop and a run. The first picture is when we first had ducks. And the second picture is the extended part. It’s covered in plastic to break the wind. It’s well vented. We had a wind storm a few weeks ago and tore it all to pieces. But some duck...
It has 5 windows that can be sealed shut or opened/partially opened for ventilation. I gave my mom a heater from Amazon so I’ll probably end up put a heater like that in the green house.. sad it was the lowest price the time I bought it but I want something I can mount also.
I think it’s 10ft x 6 ft, it has windows that can be opened. It would be a short term until spring. And I’m think possibly 6 chickens to start out. I have very limited knowledge when it comes to chickens. They are all under a year old
So I have 8 ducks and everything is fine, I would say I’m will versed with Ducks. But my mom has to rehome or process her chickens. My husband and I have wanted chickens and we live in Ohio where we just had a huge winter storm. We only have an acre of land and live in the city. We were thinking...
When do you guys start to winterize your duck coop? Last year I was on top of it but this year I have been dealing with personal issues.. I am going to start today.. it definitely needs a DEEP CLEAN! 🧼 🧽 🦆 and I need to buy more bird bath warmers!

Really?!? It’s crazy because they started laying around this time last year and laid through the winter even! It’s good to know, one less thing to be worried about thank you ❤️
My girls are a year old and after they got done mottling they have laid the minimum eggs possible! I have never experienced this before! They seem healthy, not acting weird, eating/drinking fine, pooping like champions; not sure what the problem is! My cayuga has only laid 1 egg this month and...
She’s mottling and she’s not laying eggs. She’s only 1.5yrs old… I’m not sure if she’s okay. You can see a lot of her down feathers. She is growing back her head feathers (that were taken off thanks to my drakes). 😒
I’m worried about her. She’s my favorite don’t tell the rest 😂🤭🤫
I’ve seen black spots on Betty beak. Should I be concerned? She not acting different, eat, drink and pooping normal.. I tried to get decent pictures.. I had yummies so she was at the fence looking cute! 🥰
