I was kind of surprised the other day when another plot holder turned up with some spare fruit from the community fridge where he volunteers, and they all made a beeline back to the chicken plot with the Light Sussex boy leading the way. They're usually pretty relaxed about people - Wednesday in...
This happens to me all the time, only it isn't a whole routine. It's just little things like not knowing if I really paid that bill or put that tool in my work bag or the cupboard, or if I just dreamt it.
My dreams are mostly really boring.
Lot of people wouldn't be comfortable with having their kids' faces posted on a public website along with their full names and rough location. I'm not sure if BYC specifically has a policy on this but it's pretty standard internet behaviour/etiquette to edit personal information out of photos...
I understand that no bother :)
Before I was picturing an entire house literally being picked up and moved, and wondering how you could possibly be at risk of bumping into walls or furniture when it wasn't there :lau
5C, feels like 1 now (41 / 34F) with wind in the teens. Got up to 8C (46F) earlier today but a fair bit windier then too.
Greenhouse has been hitting 12C (54F) by mid-morning and as high as 18 (64) for a while in the early pm when it's sunny. Chicks seem fine in that and I think they're mostly...
I had to read this several times before I stopped trying to work out how two roosters could be a brother and sister :lau
It looks like you can see the kids' names written on the photos you posted though - you might want to edit that.
I was having a chicken-related WhatsApp conversation with someone just after he hatched
And he was all new and dark and gothy looking, and it made me think Doom might work as a name. It would fit with the "pit of doom" in the greenhouse having turned into his own personal playground, since up...
I was sitting in the middle of the road in the almost-dark without any high vis, trying not to get the mud and chicken muck on my boots all over my pale grey trousers
Would've been better if I'd caught the moon while it was higher, so the gate framed it clearly against the sky without having the buildings and hills in the background get in the way.
I had a group of Muscovies work their way across a field of tatties a few years back, digging down to all the shallowest tubers with their beaks and then hollowing them out.
Fat, lazy pet Muscovies might well be different though.
Ok, done!
I would've tried to herd them over there to get more shots almost the same but in landscape, but we all know how well chickens take instruction :lau
