I would say he's fully feathered at this point, thank you for the response, I assumed this was the case but I've never seen it before so thought I would get a second opinion. Looks like I'll be on the hunt for a new male then, we'll keep this one as a pet regardless as my husband adores him.
I'm unsure if this is the correct area to post this question, but I bought a lot of brahma eggs earlier in the year hoping to bring in some fresh birds to my flock, only one developed so I had to add a couple extra from my own flock so he wasn't a lone hatch, anyway, turns out he's a lovely...
I need some help as to what could be wrong or what other steps to take.
Inspection yesterday was all fine. Today, one juvenile looks lethargic/tired, moving slowly, puffed up, hardly eating, and shaking his head regularly.
Currently in hospital set up with mash and vitamins added to water...
So its my first time rearing chicks and I know it's probably a bit early, but hoping someone more experienced can give me an idea, thank you. They are all Brahma around 6 weeks. I can of course take more photos if it helps.
Note: #4 has a bit of wound care applied after cutting his/her comb...
