She is still with us and no changes to behavior or appetite. I think her comb and tongue look a tiny bit better; looks like the white spots on the comb are drying up some. Giving her yogurt and scrambled eggs each day. Fingers crossed!
Thank you for the information! I do see what you mean by her tongue looking squared off in the picture. It doesn’t look as square in person, but she is quite wiggly when held and it is tough to get a picture with her mouth open :( So far I have noticed her tongue looking yellow and maybe some...
Hello all! Our flock has been battling fowl pox for the last month or so. It has primarily been dry fowl pox, and we have been managing by adding vitamins to their water, putting Vetericyn and Hen Healer on the spots, and keeping the coop clean.
It’s been running its course and I thought we...
Thank you for your input! This is the only picture I have of all four together. This is the day I picked them up when they were around 9 weeks old. Each have very different coloring and features, but I am pretty sure the others are pullets still. Smaller, more pale combs and rounded feathers...

Our sassy gal, Petunia, laid her first egg today! She is the first of our seven hens to lay. She is very proud and so are we :love
She is a 21 week old Plymouth Barred Rock.
