Duck limping - not sure if bumblefoot

Not really. I didn't notice anything very different between the normal skin and the area with spots. I'll have to follow up and check again tomorrow. She'll be on rest until then.

Duck limping - not sure if bumblefoot

Hello everyone, So yesterday i noticed one of my Pekins was limping fairly badly. I brought her in, gave her an Epsom salt bath for a while to get her foot cleaned to inspect it. I noticed these small black spots on her foot. I'm not sure if it's bumblefoot, as I haven't noticed any swelling...

Severely injured duck. Please help ASAP. Pic included.

Thanks for asking! She's doing well. Definitely happier being back with the flock and being out and about here and there. I put a pond in the ground a few days ago and all the ducks are so happy with it.

It really is. This is my first time with ducks, and it's astounding how resilient they are. They're the best! (My chickens are also the best. In case they're reading this)

Thank you so much for asking. She is doing very well. Seems to be healing well. I put her back with the flock yesterday while they were all out. She seemed very happy to be playing around them again. I'll continue treating the wound until it's completely healed, but it's going well luckily...

Severely injured duckling. Please help ASAP. Pics included

Awesome. That is exactly what I will be doing then. I thought the same about BluKote when I was reading about it more. Very appreciated. Will do! Also, no other birds in the coop with them besides the other ducks. No drakes. The chickens are separated.

Thanks. I'll definitely be securing the run more today to prevent it from happening again. That's what I'm afraid of. I'll do what I can for now though.

Thank you! That should be enough for a wound that deep? Should I wrap/cover it or anything? I know that seems difficult to do, but not sure if necessary

Hello everyone, my wife went to check on the birds this morning. Noticed one of my 3 week old ducklings had this massive wound on her thigh. She's currently cleaning it in saltwater, and I'll be separating her and keeping her warm with food and water (should I put nutri drench?) I plan on...

    New chicken and duck owner!

I'll definitely take a look. More info is always good to have. Currently I'm building a 48x8 run for the chickens. I have a 6x12 coop already for them and the coop will lead directly into the run. They are currently eating Purina mediated chick starter feed. They're in a 77 gal tote with TSC...
