    Chickens are my theraphy

When will you be getting your Button Quails? Are you going to hatch them yourself or are they going to be a few days old? I do hope you’ll get a better experience than I did. Keep me updated and maybe you’ll prove me wrong that they can be tamed and friendly as pets.

    Chickens are my theraphy

When we lived back in the Bay Area, we tried silkies. I did liked them as well, not as smart as regular chickens, they also didn’t lay as many eggs but they were cute.

    Chickens are my theraphy

Or maybe it’s us that don’t belong. There are several neighborhoods around me within walking distance that have chickens and their neighbors were ok with chickens. We just got into the wrong neighborhood. Before we bought our house, our first priority was getting our younger boy who was 12 at...

    Chickens are my theraphy

My therapist suggested getting ducks and try that out. I told her thats more work compared to chickens. Having a water source in the backyard will create new problems I think like mosquitoes and such. So I told her ducks wouldn’t work. Then she suggested getting a parrot. I didn’t want that...

    Chickens are my theraphy

I did try quails. We ordered eggs and tried to hatch them. Only 2 hatched. But one tried to mate the other and ended up killing her. So that was that. Also even though I raised the quail from day 1, held them a lot, it wasn’t friendly at all.

We were going to say hello to them and introduce ourselves when we just moved in. My husband called them also and left a message to meet with them when we just moved in. But...

    Chickens are my theraphy

The eggs songs didn’t last that long and they don’t do it every time. When I can catch it, I would go out there and tell them to stop and they do. There is a dog that barks but not all the time and a basketball court noise that happens a lot more than what my chickens sound makes. My chickens...

    Chickens are my theraphy

Hello fellow chicken owners. I live in The Woodlands, Texas. I recently acquired a permit and was able to get approved for 3 hens. Initially the township sent out letters to our neighbors 100 feet from us. All of them was against it but we were still approved under the condition that if anyone...
