It was a day one thought that my parents had. Chickens that got any problem gets quickly dispatched before they show more symptoms. Don’t know how wrong that is but we’ve never got a problem before, I only got a problem with this one because I love this one. He’s a pretty one, even now.
Just to clarify he still eats, drinks and move, just not a lot. Not enough to survive at least. He is active enough I still keep my hope up but I was clueless and have only started researching how to help him today.
I know I should’ve asked this sooner, when he collapsed, the first day or something. I didn’t plan to ask for help, I thought he’ll self recover or something, and I was going through a really rough patch and my family already didn’t view chickens’ life very highly. I guess I am just looking for...
Nice! Love Wyandotte!!! But they're just so darn expensive here XD but also so so pretty! I found some healthy looking pure Wyandotte for sale for cheap nearby recently but now I don't have space for more adult birds anymore and I want to keep hatching chicks even if they're just barnyard mix so...
2# Summer my Wyandotte. Don't know if this picture is interesting at all but I think eropean standard Wyandotte pictures aren't very common and even I don't have much pictures of her anyway so I will show: Round tail. Thin curly feathers. Fricking love it.
I'm pretty busy lately, but I noticed this contest deadline is on my birthday so I thought i'd be fitting if I share some of pictures of what makes me so myself.
I wanted to share some chicken pictures anyway so I think why not, would be fitting. Problem is I take handful of pics of each scenes...
Nothing screams busy like not posting for months lmao, and genuinely writing have been tiring me out so much I didn't even try.
Well I am back now and a lot have happened since late May.
For once, three of my hens goes broody at the same time 3-4th of June, and I let them sit while incubated...
We lost another one. This time a named one to be specific. “Triangel”, and many are injured from unknown corvids as I was away with mom for a haircut. It had been months since I got a haircut...so it took longer than I thought.
I repeatedly had bad feelings and always ran out to sight of crow...
Such a foreshadowing when I keep losing count of the chicks and missed picturing one chick coz now I am unsure who we lost and if we even lost one because of this or not or had they been gone for a while now, but I trust we had 17 chicks, just so unsure how we lost the one chick.
I practically...
We lost a chick. I was free ranging them to get them used to our way of keeping chickens. Yes, they were days old and retrospectively I look back with the most dissapointed eyes I can ever make for even willing to put all 17 of them out there when they can get the zoomie and I barely can keep up...
The runner duckling is growing so fast and the other ducklings(unknown breed) still look the same. Huh. It is taller than the rest now lol.
The old chickens looks so raggedy now 🥲
The new pullets still look the same but with a few obvious pecked broken feathers. Still so fluffy and smell...
Was just going around the garden when my young sibling place a chick on a plushie and inspo hit. The shot was too cute to miss and not share :)
“My day old chick Dasun”
Alright roll call.
Days old chicks. Sorry everyone is a bit sleepy due to it being evening. They’re active in the day unfortunately I am always at work. Nobody is getting names yet till they grow feathers so about one or two weeks old, then official names.
“Firstborn”
It seems most of the...
