    Nesting box materials… help!

    I have tried everything!!! Foam puzzle mats, hay, faux grass, and now the hay mats and my girls dig straight to the wood bottom in just a couple days. Theyve cracked so many eggs.. What’re we using for nesting box bottoms so they can’t scratch to the floor😭😩

    I can’t take these to get a fecal float unfortunately. But I’d like to hear what y’all think. Most of fb groups with vets input say intestinal shed/lining. (These chickens have lice and I’ll be treating soon with elector esp) ..other than that they look very healthy/active! A couple are 6 years...

    If not coccidiosis what could it be? pooing red and goo EVERYDAY, no other symptoms.
