Hi there!
Not sure where you live, but here in eastern Victoria, Australia, my chooks have learnt to avoid the air attacks from eagles and hawks (I lost 4 girls to wedge tailed eagles last year but so far this year they have managed to stay safe), though I recently lost one to a 🦊. Mine free-...
Whenever my chooks get injuries (cuts, sprains, etc) I use plantain balm on them. I have also used comfrey balm to heal a broken rooster leg. For a general tonic/de wormer, I like apple cider vinegar and garlic.
Update on the above information regarding the araucanas
I was sold them as pure araucanas but I have since discovered (this afternoon) that they probably aren't pure as they have tails and hairdos. And they are all multi coloured...
Howdy again

All mine are in together from 12 weeks. I currently have 7 roosters, 6 of which will be on the chopping block very soon. They are starting to fight but mostly they get along
It sure does snow here! Had over 70cm over the last weekend (coincided with the opening of the ski season for once)! They do make snow but it needs to snow before they can make it. TBH, it doesn't snow here, in my town, but 2 hours up the road is one of Victoria's premier ski resorts!
