    There are a number of people I am sure with good neighbors who keep them. I just feel 35 years with no interest in change is ridiculous. Every other municipality can write in regulations but for Slidell that seems too complicated for them.

    In city limits is not allowed. I believe we are the only city in about a 100 mile radius that prohibits any ownership. Mandeville even allows for chickens.     This is an old post but reaching out if you have tried to petition the council on amending. I too live in city limits and find it crazy we have less rights than all our surrounding cities, and the reason I got from a councilman was "egg prices will go down, stop worrying."
