    She's rooting on a little bar in the run thats covered. Its lower than the roost in the coop but she's a weird one she usually sleeps on the floor of the coop. She can get on to the roosting bars (I've seen her hop up) but she doesn't care to sleep up there usually.

    It's not too hot at night, low of 66? We have ventilation on the sides as well as an exaust fan to pull the hot air out. we have other silkies that go in at night with no issues but I will check the temp in there tomorrow night to be sure thank you :)

    I try to keep an herbicide free yard but this past weekend my dad came over and sprayed down my garden beds with Captain Jack's Deadweed Brew Weed Killer. How long before I can free range my girls again? I usually let them out for an hour to 2 hours a day after work.

    Is it too hot?

    We dont run the AC inside so I think they're okay, put them out for just a few hours in the morning and they did well :) 1 sleeps under the heat plate but the others don't anymore.
