Apple cider vinegar to keep water clean?

I have a plastic waterer so I don't think that will be a problem. I added the ACV, and the chickens seem to like the taste. 🤷‍♀️ Don't worry, I am still regularly changing their water :)

teaching chicks to go back in and roost at night?

I just hung a camping lantern in the coop every night for a couple of weeks until they got the idea. Once it got dark enough, they ran inside and I shut the light after closing the door. They caught on really quickly. They've been going in by themselves around 7:45 every night for over a month...

Apple cider vinegar to keep water clean?

Hi everyone, I have a 5-gallon waterer in my coop (well, technically in the run, but you know what I mean), and I'm worried about it getting gross in there. I've been changing it every 3 days just to be safe, but I would like to be more confident in its cleanliness. Is apple cider vinegar a good...

That's a nice coop! Did you put the hardware cloth underground too?

    Chicken Harnesses?

No, I just want to let them peck around without worrying about them wandering off or getting snatched. I wouldn't drag them around or anything like that.

    Chicken Harnesses?

Does anyone use chicken harnesses? Since I can't free range my chickens on a daily basis, I was wondering if a harness was a good idea. Let me know what you think!

Advice Needed- Can my chicks go out for a couple of hours?

I'm waiting for the coop to air out because we painted it recently. :)

Advice Needed- Can my chicks go out for a couple of hours?

"They can totally go out for a few hours and in fact they should. I’ve put 4-week-old chicks in the coop with temps much lower than that. Field trips are a good way to start “cold-hardening” them though I’m not sure it’s necessary at your temps. Put them out in a safe place for a couple hours...

Advice Needed- Can my chicks go out for a couple of hours?

Just wondering... It's really damp here in Central Florida because it was raining last night. It's 70 out, so not cold, and I'm not sure if I should bring my 6-week-old chicks out into their run. They're in the house right now. They are almost fully feathered, but I'm not sure if they should be...
