How did your flock annoy you today?

My chickens will do the exact thing. I'm handfeeding them and Nutmeg loves to just knock everything out of my hand, and no one will eat them off the ground because they are pretty pink princesses. Then everyone looks at me wanting more!:he

looking for advice on raising a rejected chick

I love animals as well! Sometimes they just abandon them for no reason, I had a friend who hatched chicks and the mom didn't take to one of them, so the adult hens were plucking her feathers out. We took her in and she's thriving!

looking for advice on raising a rejected chick

You did a great thing taking in that chick! I bet it took a lot of courage to take him in when you haven't had much experience with chickens in the first place, but it seems you're on the right track and are taking care of him well! Keep us updated on how he's doing!

    Stop chickens from flying?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if there is any way to stop my chickens from flying over their gate and into our garden, but without clipping their wings because they are used for showing. Putting them somewhere with a roof is also out of the question because their run is too big. Any suggestions...

I agree that you should keep the pullets separated from him for now, but with the older hens. They will put him in line.
