    Any Home Bakers Here?

The fresh eggs from the hens = superior baking. Love baking but have to cut back because we are empty nesters no kids at home to help eat these treats. We might end up as round as we are tall if I keep baking 😆

How should I get my pullets to eat they’re own feed, while making sure they don’t eat the hens feed in the same coop?

Take a large thick cardboard box. Cut out an entry way that is too small for the adults to get in but large enough for the chicks. Place the chicks feeder under that box. I did this when I integrated the young pullets with the adults hens. It also gave them a place to hide from bully hens and...

    New pullets are constantly eating

Depends on the breed. Larger breeds tend to eat more than the smaller ones. Have they started laying eggs? Young pellets are both finishing growth and getting ready to lay eggs.

    What is squatting?

They hunch down and act like they want you to pet them instead of running away from you like they usually do. I was very surprised by that behavior when I first started raising hens.

    Separate Cockerel?

This is typical behavior and it’s how they socialize. Id leave them together. It’s safe to eat the eggs that the pullets lay but best to wait until the pullets are least a year old or laying larger eggs if you plan to used fertile eggs for hatching chicks.

    Getting rid of roosters

Anyone near by willing to butcher? I hate doing the killing part myself especially if I hand raised them from egg to adult. I get one of my adult sons (who have no attachment to do the kill) then I’m good with doing the rest of processing.

    Neighbor threatening to trap birds

Sound like she is insane. What she is doing is called theft. She has been trespassing and harassment as well. Get a restraining order?

    That’s the best idea yet.

I need advice on how to get rid of chicken lice/bugs!!!!!

I would burn any existing bedding including the bin. Treat your lawn and get rid of what you threw out on the lawn, burn that. It sounds extreme but if your birds are free range they could get reinfected if they come in contact with that bedding. Lice or mites might have to be treated at weekly...
