    Ear Infection?

I believe it’s a bacterial infection, her ear canal is enlarged and the lobe is swollen. It had crusty yellow and some pasty white deeper in. I followed the directions about the Q-Tip and when I did the hydrogen peroxide it bubbled- which I think confirms it’s bacterial. I think I caught it...

    Ear Infection?

I’m assuming it’s normal for her to scratch her ear a ton after I put the ointment on?

    Ear Infection?

Not sure what’s wrong with my 14 week old Americana. Her ear is all out of wack, but the other side is just fine. She eats and drinks water, just does head shakes every so often. Any recommendations on how to treat this would be awesome- no vet in the area for chickens. Thanks!

    Advice on Mobile Chicken Run

Hello everyone, My boyfriend and I are currently renovating our trailer coop. We’d like to make a run that is also mobile. My concerns are how will a mobile run protect the hens? We are in the sticks and see eagles, hawks, foxes, bears, etc. all the time. We want the mobile run considering we...

    cull decision. PLEASE GIVE OPINIONS.

I’d suggest doing what Debbie292d is saying! My 3 week old chick had wry neck, which is a neurological issue- since starting this Vitamin and egg regimen, her neck isn’t twisting (only sometimes when I pick her up she gets squirmy) So I’d 100% recommend it as well! Keep doing it until she is...

    The Wry neck came back!

Okay awesome, thank you!! I was also surprised by the commenter on the other post saying a week- but okay, 3 weeks.. I’ll keep at it and hope for the best! Thank you for being specific on how much a day I should give her with the Vitamins and eggs! I will grab some Poultry Cell before I head out...

    Sneezing chicks

Yes, keep them apart! You do not want to have your entire flock sneezing.

    Sneezing chicks

My chicks have been sneezing too with the same symptoms. Not sure how yours are doing now, but I have been putting 1-2 drops of VetRx between their shoulder blades. It doesn’t cure anything, just helps with the symptoms! I’d give it a try if you can get some of it. Your feed store should have some!

    The Wry neck came back!

Hello everyone! Not great, so my 2 week old Americana’s wry neck came back- when I thought I had kicked it in the butt. A day ago I saw her neck was starting to really turn again. I was reading some other posts about what to do, saw one about using liquid Vitamin B complex and gel Vitamin E...

Comment by 'maechicky' in article 'Curing Gleet'

I really like this post, in colder climate it’s hard to be able to soak your birds, especially if they get gleet in the winter time! This could be a huge lifesaver for me if my hens ever get gleet! Then I wouldn’t have to worry about them freezing on account of being so wet.

    Bawk bawk chickens rock

Hello! I have owned chickens since I was 11! I am 23 now, but hey, every year there’s something new to learn. I am new to this website, so I am excited to ask lots of questions, rather than relying on a search engine that’s going to use ai to generate answers 😅 I have my four 2 week old chicks...

Can I use Vet RX on chicks?

Any update? Did the drops on the shoulder blades work? My 2 week old chicks are sneezing, just want to nip anything in the butt before it becomes serious.
