Fiancé does not want cameras. I don’t care enough one way or the other to fight him on it. I work from home at least, so I do listen for them all day and try my best to go out there whenever possible. I watch them. At this point, I haven’t seen any abnormal issues with the gals, and none seem to...
I’m not concerned unless they start hurting each other or Tim starts to target a certain pullet/hen or keeps them from getting to feed. Otherwise, it’s their problem to sort!
We have 12 hens. There was a good vibe before, and they shared the hens, although clearly Curiosity felt they were “his.” He would run over whenever they squawked resisting. They are the same age, from the same group of chicks. I will be watching to see if any of the girls gets overmated now. I...
Yesterday was a big day here! We’ve had a changing of the guard. Curiosity and Tim went at it, and then Tim steamrolled Curiosity across the yard, and Curiosity slunk away. The rest of the day was constant crowing contests. Tim chased Curiosity more than once, and I observed Curiosity standing...
Maybe! 😆
The Red laid and returned the coop, finally. Took her sweet time sauntering over. She was nonplussed to be the only one out and about. Ginger must have given up because she’s in the coop now, but no egg.
Weird (hard) egg from Einstein today. Yesterday was her first since the molt (yes, in the tree, that’s how I know!), and that was was normal-ish but elongated and slightly pointy. This one is just…
Its hardened and sealed but I probably won’t use it.
Einstein (BR in front) is getting her feathers back. The molt did get pretty bad. She’s actually a bit skinny under all that puffed up fluff! (Apologies for the cockerel on one leg 😂)
@Sylvester017 are you aware you have personal info attached to the pics from 1986? (visible if you click on the pictures to enlarge) Just letting you know in case you care about that sort of thing!
Advanced Placement courses taken in high school which are more like a college curriculum and have a standardized test at the end of the year which is graded on a scale (1-5 iirc) and depending on your score, can translate into college credit depending on the college/university you attend and how...
They seem happy with their digs. I just meant the coop was already here when I arrived on the property, and it’s built off the barn, a re-purposed lean to type structure. It’s not fancy, but it works!
