    I have 2 beautiful sapphire gem roosters that are 11 weeks old. They are very good making sure the hens are put to bed before going to bed. Just started to crow and I live in town. Central Illinois. Rantoul to be specific.

    One has, the other one has a croaky call, but on the way.

    Thanks. I live in zone 5. We get a few days with negative wind chills and single degree weather. Mostly in the 20's.

    Thanks a lot. There is one with a different comb. It sticks out and always has, but it is still light pink. Also, the lacing is starting to be more prominent.

    Hi. I am a new chicken owner. Have 9 chicks. Two sapphire gems which i think both are roos. 7 goldlace wyandottes. I've heard all hens, but not sure???? They are11 weeks old. Any help would be great.
