Make sure you use hardware cloth wire NOT chicken wire of any gage. Raccoons and large black snakes can into coops that are not made with hardware cloth wire. Raccoons will grab a chicken through even 1 inch chicken wire and chew their heads off, and large black snakes can get through chicken...
