    Coastal Beach City here. Checking in. I have been wanting to extend our pet family by adding two or three chickens. I do work fulltime and don't know if I would be neglecting my chickens. That is my main worry... although we have two dogs and a bird that seem well fed and loved in our family...

    Yes, I too have hawks that nest across the street. Would love to 'Free Range' my girls, but we are not always in the backyard and have to keep them fenced in. Could anyone tell me what I could do to discourage these hungry hawks from swarming and scaring my girls? Thanks
