Definitely concerned about diversity. We had a perfect storm of issues that took out our flock, but we were also unhappy with the quality of chicks that we saw hatch late last summer and heard the same from other breeders.
We should have hatching eggs and chicks for sale in limited quantities by November. The juveniles will be a month or two as chicks grow out.

We have several Hedemora cockerels that are available. These are straight from Greenfire. There are silkied and non-silkied.
Here are a few pictures. There are others that didn't jump into the frame. If you're interested, you can PM or email ([email protected]).

We've dropped the brooder lights to 75 watts since there are 12 brooders in the brooder room...
Yes, age is not a friend, is it? At least, not after age 21. It's all downhill from there, it seems.
These literally went straight out of the hatcher into the box, so they're probably a few weeks younger than the others? All should get along well, though. I've had older Icies mother the new...
So glad they arrived safely, the USPS hasn't been kind to our shipments in the past, so I sent the seventh one in addition to the six you had paid for just in case that happened again.
Actually, all of our Icelandics are from Icelander's lines. Some of our flock are second generations from her...
