    Ok, thanks for the responses. Only problem is mine will not be free ranging at least not at first and never all the time. The coop size is approximately 4' x 5' with an additional 4' x 16' run. They will be in each others company most of the time.

    This sounds so much like what my one remaining chick has. Seems healthy other than sneezing/coughing. Duramycin treatment is over and she(I think) still has the same symptoms except the eye is not shut anymore and is clear. Should I go ahead and get the Tylan(?) shot? I am really at a loss...

    nipple waterers and winter time...what do you do?

    I am wondering the same thing. I plan on using a 5 gallon bucket as the tank on the outside of the coop/run and then waterline out to the individual nipples on the inside.

    Well the one left seems to be over the cocci and is eating and drinking well but now has an eye that is shut and wheezes a little when roosting. There is no foul odor. I suspect a respiratory infection. That is what I thought the first one had and was treating them all for that last weekend...
